Description:

American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957. The white enameled porcelain face is marked with a large Ford Motor Company logo over "MODEL A", black Arabic numerals, and "WALTHAM" above the chronograph. The movement which is visible through the glass pane that makes up the back of the case is marked "A.W.W.Co./WALTHAM,MASS./17/JEWELS" and with the serial number, which dates to 1909. Waltham later went on to manufacture the speedometers in the 1937 Ford, which are believed to be the only speedometers in a Ford marked by a different company.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 98% of the nickel finish on the case with a couple small patches of loss (in the 6 and 11 o'clock positions), excellent color on the face with minimal loss, and it appears to function as it should when wound. Excellent for the collector of fine watches or anyone with a Model A Ford that needs to make sure they arrive on time!
