This attractive colonial era style left handed rifle was built by Doug Anderson (White Eyes) in Lost Creek, West Virginia, and is signed "D. Anderson" and stamped "DA" at the breech of the swamped octagon barrel which has a very attractive textured antique brown finish, a silver blade front sight, and dovetailed notch rear sight. The lock has floral and scroll engraving and an antiqued finish. The brass furniture also has mostly floral engraving. The stock also has an attractive antiqued finish with dark finish applied and then rubbed back and highlighting the nice flame figure on the forend along with the incised and raised relief carving which includes fluer-de-lis designs and a classic "C" scroll pattern on the right side of the butt. The rifle is fitted with a woven sling with leather end straps.

Fine overall as custom made with beautiful antiqued finish, crisp engraving and carving, and minor firing wear. Mechanically excellent.
