NEW BOND STREET, LONDON," part matted full length solid rib, ramp blade front sight (provision for a hood), three leaf rear sight graduated to 200 yards, extractor and London blackpowder proofs on the flats. Casehardened 8-pin side lock signed "LANG & HUSSEY LD," tight English scrollwork and flower bouquet pattern engraving, double triggers, automatic tang safety with "SAFE" in gold, tang drilled and tapped for sight mounting, scroll engraving extended to the trigger guard, break leaver and forearm hardware. Nicely figured walnut pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, cheekpiece, blank silver initial oval, smooth horn grip cap, and checkered horn buttplate. The forearm hardware and trigger guard are also numbered to the gun. Stock measurements: drop at comb 1 9/16 inches; drop at heel 3 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches; weight 8 lbs. 8 oz.

Fine. The barrels retain 95% plus of the period refurbished blue finish with some loss at the muzzle and some finished over blemishes/pitting heavier at the breech. The action retains 40% of the casehardened finish. The engraving is crisp. The refinished wood is also fine with some minor handling marks and scattered blemishes in the recut checkering. Mechanically excellent.
