Casehardened scalloped box lock action with side clips, cross bolt third fastener, dual set triggers, cocking indicators, and sliding tang safety. The receiver is engraved with full coverage floral blossom and scroll designs with matching engraved upper tang and break lever. Attractive checkered walnut pistol grip stock and splinter forearm with engraved fittings, raised cheekpiece, engraved cartridge trap, and basket weave checkered horn buttplate. With leather bound takedown case. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 5/8 inches.

Fine with 95% professionally refinished blue on the barrels, some faint traces of surface pitting under the blue on the underside, light edge wear, small nicks, and well defined engraving. The receiver has 75% original case colors under a protective coat of yellowing varnish, areas of a mixed brown/gray patina, and some light spotting. The toe of the buttstock has been broken and reglued. Otherwise the refinished wood is fine with crisp, freshened checkering, small scattered dings, and attractive grain and color. Mechanically excellent.
