Blue Bohler Antinit steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matte vent rib, chambers marked and measured at 3 inches with automatic ejectors, improved modified/improved modified chokes, and standard Austrian proofs dated 1960. The bolstered receiver features hand detachable locks, double Kersten third fastener, bushed firing pins, gold highlighted cocking indicators, and dual gold washed triggers (front trigger is articulated). The receiver and locks feature full coverage, Best quality scroll engraving with relief carved oak leaf and acorn patterns on the bolsters, and exceptionally finely detailed game scenes of two bears on the right lock, a grouping of deer on the left, two pheasants with gold inlaid "RICHARD FANZOI FERLACH AUSTRIA" maker's mark on the bottom, roe deer on the trigger guard, and a boar on the grip cap. Checkered finely figured walnut pistol grip stock and extension forearm with fine oak leaf and acorn carved accents, engraved fittings, raised, stepped cheekpiece, and serrated buttplate. The double rifle barrels are numbered to match, chambered for .300 H&H magnum, 26 inches long with a solid rib, raised quarter rib area, beaded blade front and fixed notch rear sights, and double claw scope bases with Kahles Helia Super scope. With leather bound takedown case for the set with brass fittings, "FRANZ SODIA" marked interior label, cloth cover, and inscription plate on the lid reading "T.J. BENTLEY JR." Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech U/O .728/.724; minimum wall thickness .015/.030; choke constriction .028/.037; drop at comb 1 7/16 inches; drop at heel 2 1/16 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches.

Excellent with 98% original blue finish on the barrels, some light muzzle wear, and small handling marks. The receiver and locks have sharp detailed engraving. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering, sharp carved accents, and small dings and pressure marks. The shotgun underbarrel appears to have been honed in one area and has become thin. Mechanically excellent. Optics are clear. Case is good with exterior scuffs, patina on the fittings, and slightly loose inner partitions. Case cover is about good with worn leather corners.
