Manufactured in 1939 with a single steel bead sight. The top of the receiver has been factory matted. The left side of the Routledge bore barrel is marked "-WINCHESTER/PROOF STEEL-MODEL 61- WINCHESTER-/-TRADEMARK- .22 L.R.- FOR SHOT ONLY" at the breech, with correct approximate 410 bore. The top of the barrel and top left of the receiver are stamped with a Winchester factory proof. The serial number "45571" is stamped on the frame and trigger guard with a "W" stamped beneath. The magazine tube has the correct triangular loading port, and the upper tang is correctly drilled and tapped for the addition of a sight with filler screws in place. Grooved flat bottom forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent with 97% original blue finish, some faint cycling and muzzle wear, and mild handling marks. The wood is very fine with some dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
