The Stevens Model 77E was the most widely used military shotgun of the Vietnam era, used by both American and South Vietnamese forces, the 77E has a slightly shorter buttstock, which was designed to accommodate the smaller stature of South Vietnamese forces. It was also the first U.S. military shotgun to be issued with a recoil pad. Features a full parkerized finish with single steel bead sight, standard barrel markings, matching "P" proofs on top of the barrel and receiver, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and cylinder choke. The right side of the receiver is stamped "U.S" at the front edge and "SCHD" at the rear. Serrated slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with vented recoil pad and nylon web sling. Length of pull is 12 3/4 inches.

Excellent with 90% plus original green parkerized finish, areas of high point and edge wear, surface scratches, handling marks throughout, and some traces of light spotting. The otherwise excellent wood has small dings throughout and visible deterioration on the recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
