Manufactured by Winchester for Great Britain. Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with the dial adjustable front and flip up peep rear volley sights installed on the left side of the stock and receiver. The top of the receiver has the circled "*" proof, with a correct "W" prefix serial number. The bolt is marked with a "*" and a matching number on top, with "W" and "NS" on the underside of the handle. Smooth pistol grip stock, with an unmarked brass stock disc, canvas sling, and a blued steel buttplate. The bayonet is marked "1913/W" on the left and with British proofs on the right, with ribbed wood grips, blued hilt, and a leather sheath. Information from the consignor suggests that this rifle was an unissued example retained by Winchester, which later became part of the factory collection, though no documentation was supplied.

Excellent plus, with 98% plus of the original high polish blue finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall. The stock is also excellent, with some light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is also excellent overall and shows some mild handling marks, with light wear on the sheath. It would be nearly impossible to improve upon this example!
