The rifle is based on the very desirable pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Action, and was upgraded by the legendary American custom rifle makers, Griffin & Howe. The barrel is fitted with a ramped beaded blade front sight and two filler screws in the rear sight area, is marked "No 2303 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" on top, and "CAL. 375" on the left at the breech. The receiver ring is matted on top with two filler screws, serial number on the right, and Winchester factory oval proof on the left. Mounted with a nicely figured, checkered, pistol grip stock with contrasting forend, blued grip cap, sling swivel studs, shadowline cheekpiece, and vented Pachmayr recoil pad. The receiver is fitted with the famous Griffin & Howe side mounted scope mount which holds the included Redfield Bear Cub 3-9x scope.

Very fine as upgraded by Griffin & Howe, retains 97% blue finish with some scattered light handling marks and some light wear at the muzzle and on the bolt handle. The wood is also very fine with some scattered light dings and scratches, and a few minor blemished in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The optics are clear.
