Description:

Inland barrel dated "-42", narrow type 1 barrel band with unmarked sling loop, two rivet handguard with shallow/narrow sighting groove, flat milled blue bolt, smooth magazine catch and safety button, milled trigger guard, flip up two leaf rear peep sight, standard markings on the receiver heel, flat bottom, high wood stock, oval cut oiler slot, and checkered stamped buttplate. The right side of the buttstock is stamped with a "crossed cannons" Ordnance cartouche, circled "P" on the grip end, and "IO" in the sling recess. With canvas web sling and two extra magazines.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 95% original gray/green parkerized finish, 902% correct original blue on the bolt, small dings and scratches, some light edge and cycling wear, and clear markings. The varnished wood is fine with faint, but legible cartouche, small dings throughout, and mostly brown patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
