This is a very rare semi-automatic commercial model of the Swiss Sturmgewehr 57 that remained in use until approximately 1980. These were imported for only a very short time in the early 1980s. Adjustable blade front and peep rear sight, both folding, with the "Swiss cross in shield" marking on top of the receiver, matching numbers on the barrel shroud, receiver and stock, and 2-position selector switch. Integral muzzle break and bayonet lug. The upper receiver is fitted with a stamped and welded steel scope base and a scarce Kern Aarau 4x24 sniper scope Fitted with a winter style flip down extended trigger. Vented metal handguard with folding bipod and ribbed rubber grip section, serrated pistol grip, and straight rubberized buttstock. Includes a generic case, bayonet with sheath, leather sling, two extra extended magazines, and tools.

Very good with 90% original blue and black finish, areas of scattered light oxidation, handling marks, overall, and visible rough light oxidation on the scope base housing and rear of the receiver. Stock and grip set are also very good with scratches and dings overall. Mechanically excellent. Scope optics are clear.
