This is a very nice example of an "S/42" Luger. The top of the chamber is dated 1939 and the right side is marked with the Mauser double "Eagle 63" and the early spread wing Mauser eagle proof, which is repeated on the right side of the barrel. The toggle is correctly marked with the "S/42" markings denoting the Mauser factory. The full serial number is marked on the underside of the barrel, front of the frame, and the left side of the barrel extension, with partial serial numbers on the smaller parts. The magazine has the blued body and aluminum bottom, with the body unmarked and "7581/ o/ +/ Eagle/ 63" on the base. The dark brown leather flap holster is marked "G.J.Ensink & Co./ OHRDRUF/ 1939" and "Eagle/ WaA163" on the back between the belt loops, and "C1090" inside the flap, and it contains the small takedown wrench and a matching magazine, minus the "+".

Near mint as professionally restored, with a few light handling marks and some wear around the high edges. The grips are very fine, with some small pressure dents and scratches on the otherwise sharp checkering. The holster is very good, with cracking on the front of the main body and the flap, along with some light scratches and wear. Mechanically excellent.
