This is a fine example of an early pre-war Luftwaffe contract, Heinrich Krieghoff "S" code Luger pistol that was manufactured circa 1935. It has mid- "S" code chamber marking indicating manufacture in 1935 with the early B-2 die markings on the front toggle. The blade is symmetrical, and the points of the anchor nearly touch the outer edge of the letters "H" and "K" over "SUHL". It is correctly not marked with Krieghoff however it does have the correct flat bottom "U" in "SUHL". It has the typical military style serial number placement with the full serial number "2024" on the front of the frame and the left side of the barrel extension. The underside of the barrel is marked with the only the bore diameter "8,82" over the "Eagle/2" Krieghoff acceptance proof. The various parts are correctly stamped with the last two digits (24) of the serial number. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the early "LWaA" Luftwaffe acceptance proof followed by the Luftwaffe test proof and small "Eagle/2" proof. The pistol is fitted with a set of Ritzmann brown checkered plastic grips, with the fine checkering with the small smooth border around the edges. The back sides have the correct mold marks and numbers. It comes with a nickel plated Krieghoff type magazine with an aluminum base that is stamped with an inverted "Eagle/2" proof over serial number "2065".
