Texas Longhorn Arms Inc. was started by Bill Grover in the early 1980s with the goal of manufacturing improved designs of classic Colt single action revolvers. The most notable of these improvements was building right-handed revolvers, as Grover claimed that Sam Colt was most certainly left-handed considering his revolver designs. This meant moving the ejector rod and loading gate to the left side of the revolver making it more natural for a right-handed shooter. This revolver shows those features and is closely modelled after the Colt flattop target models as well as having the lengthy barrel of a Buntline model. "ONE OF ONE THOUSAND" is marked on the left of the barrel, caliber designation on the right, and standard Texas Longhorn Arms Inc. address on the top strap. Stud type mounts on the frame and back strap cut for mounting a shoulder stock. Includes a finely figured attachable shoulder with mostly brass fitting and a saddle ring on the bottom. Also included is a hardwood case French fitted for both the revolver and shoulder stock.

Excellent, retains 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with only the slightest handling marks and faint traces of a cylinder drag line. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and scratches mostly from mounting of the stock. Mechanically excellent. The stock and case are excellent showing minimal handling evidence.
