Texas Longhorn Arms Inc. was started by Bill Grover in the early 1980s with the goal of making high quality revolvers based on famous Colt designs, but with certain improvements. Grover believed that Samuel Colt had to have been left-handed due to the designs of his revolvers being awkward to load for right-handed shooters. Therefore, all of the models made by Texas Longhorn Arms had the ejector rods and loading gates moved to the left side, a more natural position for a right-handed shooter. At the time, these revolvers never really caught on and the company went out of business in 1998 with limited numbers of revolvers produced, leading to them being very desirable in todays market. This revolver has standard markings and features. All three revolvers in the set are marked "ONE OF ONE THOUSAND" on the left of the barrel and share "200" in their serial numbers. All three revolvers are contained in a beautifully tooled leather case featuring a rodeo scene on the lid. The case is numbered to the set on the underside.
