This large unmarked Bowie knife measures 17 3/4 inches long overall with a 12 1/4 inch long 2 1/4 inch wide clip point blade. It has a wide rolled steel D-shaped guard and what appears to be a full tang with grip scales fashioned from bone, the joint of the bone forming the pommel.

Rating Definition:

Good, the blade and show a mixture of dark grey patina and patches of rough brown patina with some evidence of sharpening on the blade. The handle is fair with an overall aged look, moderate wear, and some filler used to fit the scales to the tang.
