Barrel: 4 3/4 inch round
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grip: hard rubber

Item Views: 4358
Item Interest: Very Active
Serial Number:
Catalog Page: 163
Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Manufactured in 1905 with standard markings and features. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, right grip panel, and butt, which also has spurious "W.F.&Co." marking, and the loading gate has the assembly number "5113". The included factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) as well as shipment to Turner Hardware Company, Muskogee, Indian Territory, Oklahoma in a six gun shipment on 5 August 1905.

Rating Definition:

Very good, retains 20% original blue finish mostly on top of the barrel and in sheltered areas with the balance brown and grey patinas. The grips are good with moderate wear, a few minor dings and scratches, and slightly smoothed checkering. Mechanically excellent. As noted above, the Wells Fargo marking is spurious; the Colt SAA carries Oklahoma Indian Territory history, which is still unique.
