Manufactured from 1887 to 1910 in the 1 to 4333 serial number range with approximately 2,930 chambered in .32-44 S&W caliber. The revolvers feature matching 20th century near full coverage relief engraved floral scrollwork pattern. A fan pattern is engraved on the recoil shields. Floral blossoms are engraved on the screw heads. The revolvers have a gold plating over silver finish (hammer is casehardened and barrel latch is blued). Other features include target sights, two-line address/patent dates barrel rib marking, 1 7/16 inch cylinders, and matching respective early production three digit serial numbers on the butt, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. The case is fitted for both revolvers and has a blank brass inlaid inscription shield on the exterior of the lid.

Rating Definition:

Fine as later embellished. 98% of the gold plating remains on the cylinder and 40% of the gold plating remains on the barrel and frame. 95% plus of the silver plating remains. 95% plus of the case colors remain on the hammer. The engraving is crisp. The grips are also fine with some minor handling marks and attractive color. Mechanically excellent. The case is good with absent lock escutcheon, couple pieces of missing edge inlays, numerous minor-moderate handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear on the lining.
