Manufactured c. 1820. The lock is signed "JACKSON" and has light engraving and a sliding half-cock safety. The barrel flares to around 1 1/4 inches at the muzzle (gauge estimated above) and is marked "London" on top with decorative flourishes and has Birmingham proofs on the left and a folding "snap" bayonet secured by a sliding catch on the upper tang. The brass furniture has floral engraving. The stock has a checkered wrist.
