According to the chart on page 193 of "Astra Automatic Pistols" by Leonardo Antaris, only 39 Model 4000 pistols were manufactured in the M4004 pattern featuring full coverage engraving, gold damascened finish, and gold inlays. The pistol features a brilliant full coverage gold damascened finish with a stark contrasting blue under layer with full coverage arabesque scroll patterns, mythical beasts around the barrel shroud, semi-relief gold inlaid floral blossoms, small birds at the rear of the slide, and Astra logo on the back strap. The small parts are bright with a serrated ring hammer, and serrated trigger. Factory smooth faux pearl grips.
