This elaborately factory embellished vest pocket pistol was manufactured in 1955 and has blade front and notch rear sights, standard markings and Spanish commercial proofs. Features full coverage, striking, bold gold Damascene embellishment with semi-relief gold inlays, a mix of Arabesque scroll and floral patterns, with an underlying blue finish to provide contrast. The grips are steel and Damascened to match with the Spanish coat of arms on the right panel, Great Seal of the United States on the left, matching engraved and gold decorated grip screws, and gold inlaid C/W/E" monogram on the back strap. Excellent with 97% original brilliant gold finish, some small flecks of inlay absent, mild handling marks, and some light flaking on the nickel plated extractor. Mechanically excellent. Quite possibly the most highly embellished Astra vest pocket pistol writer has ever seen.
