U.S. Army M24 SWS sniper rifle manufactured by Remington Arms Company. This is a standard configuration Remington M24 SWS sniper rifle with 24 inch stainless steel barrel, black HS composite stock with adjustable buttplate, and Leupold Mark 4, 10X40MM, telescopic sight. The barrel and receiver are fitted with mounts for the auxiliary RPA Trakker micrometer rear sight and globe front sight. The stock has an attachment point for a Harris bipod, Remington M24 configuration trigger guard and hinged floorplate, Remington quick detachable sling swivels and Remington rubber buttplate with spacers. The left side of the receiver is roll-stamped with the serial number: "RR95858B" followed by "REMINGTON/MODEL 700 M24" in two lines. The left side of the barrel is stamped "7.62 NATO" midway between the receiver and the muzzle. These markings are identical to those on later production Army contract M24 rifles which did not have any "U.S." markings. The inside of the bolt handle is stamped with the partial serial number "5858". The 10X Leupold scope has the standard Mildot cross-hairs and is fitted with Leupold and Butler Creek lens covers. The bottom of the scope is roll-stamped with the serial number "447337X". "LEUPOLD MARK 4 10x40mm LR/T" is roll-stamped around the objective lens. The scope has Leupold Mark 4, 30mm medium rings and two-piece Mark 4 PC base. The rifle is complete with a U.S. Army Hardigg deployment case and scarce Day Optic Sight Case for the Leupold Telescopic sight. The rifle is complete with the serial numbered Remington carton and Remington M24 SWS Operator's Manual. This rifle is identical to the U.S. Army issue M24 SWS sniper rifles with Leupold Mark 4 scopes that were the primary sniper rifle utilized in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Near new. This rifle is all original and retains 100% of the black Remington finish. The consignor states that the barrel was properly broken in and that round count is approximately 150 rounds. The stock is in perfect condition. The Leupold Mark 4 Telescopic sight has perfect optics. The scarce Day Optic case is in new condition. The exterior of the Hardigg deployment case is in very fine-excellent condition. The fitted bottom liner is in excellent condition. The case is missing the top liner (replacement foam liners are available for the Hardigg cases). Only a limited number of the Remington Army specification M24 SWS Sniper Rifles were sold to the general public. This is a nearly new, low round-count, Remington M24 SWS Sniper Rifle with correct Leupold Mark 4 telescopic sight rings and mount. This scarce and excellent rifle would be a key addition to any U.S. martial arms or military sniper collection.
