Description:

The DFC inspected frame dates to 1883 and has the three-line patent dates marking followed by "U.S." on the left side. HN inspected back straps and Ainsworth inspected barrel with italic barrel address. The top of the barrel has the one-line Hartford address marking. The revolver has mixed numbers as typical of Artillery variants.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal refurbished. 30% of the blue remains on the barrel and ejector rod housing, faded traces of blue remain on the cylinder flutes and strong traces of blue remain in the protected areas of the grip straps, otherwise a smooth brown patina. Traces of case colors remain on the mostly silvered out frame and hammer. The grip is very good with a small chip near the bottom, high edge wear and minor handling marks. Mechanically functions fine.
