The top of the barrel is marked "Ethan Allen 1857" in fancy script engraving and the silver plated frame shows 90% coverage floral scroll engraving. Matching numbers are visible on the barrel, cylinder, butt, and inside both grip panels. Includes a leatherette wrapped case fitted for the revolver and a U.M.C. pictured box for No. 1 pistol cartridges which contains some .22 RF cartridges and a couple .44 RF cartridges.

Excellent, retains 90% plus bright original high polish blue finish with the balance a smooth grey patina and 85% plus of the original silver plating which is showing mostly an attractive antique patina, some light flaking/darker patina on the back strap, and crisp engraving. The grips are also excellent with some scattered light handling marks. The case and cartridge box are fine with moderate wear primarily on edges and corners, and some minor handling/storage marks throughout.
