Description:

Front sight is marked "NM/062", rear marked "595" on the aperture hood, "NM" on the shank and windage knob, "NM/2A" on the right side base, with "NM" marked barrel, gas tube and operating rod, Springfield "3-63" dated barrel with "inverted T", "PM" and "DoD eagle" markings, matching partial numbers inside the floor plate and inside the stock barrel channel, Springfield bolt, safety, hammer and trigger housing and "7790722-RA" operating rod. The stock is glass bedded, with glued front handguard, Department of Defense stamp on the left side, circled "P" without serifs on the pistol grip, and checkered trapdoor buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, as issued, 99% plus original parkerized finish remaining, scattered light handling marks, and a faint hint of edge wear visible on the charging handle. The stock is also excellent plus with some small storage dings and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent. It would be difficult, if not impossible to improve on this example.
