Receiver manufactured in 1943 and subsequently arsenal upgraded to M1D specifications with the addition of a "2-52" dated Springfield M1D barrel with integral scope mounting point, five prong flash hider, blade front and adjustable rear peep sights, relief cut Springfield operating rod, standard markings on the receiver heel, "W.R.A" marked trigger group with milled trigger guard, and Springfield hammer. Fitted with a Weaver M84 telescopic sight in a mount numbered "2485329" with rubber eye cup and sliding sun shield. Pistol grip stock with circled "P" on underside of wrist, "MRT/2 52" marked leather cheekpiece (screwed in on right side of buttstock with brass screws), and stamped checkered trapdoor buttplate. Includes standard gas plug bushing.

Very fine with 95% arsenal refurbished parkerized finish remaining, scattered scratches and nicks, cycling marks, edge wear, and cycling marks. The stock is fair with numerous small dings, some deeper scattered dents and bruises, and some mild chipping around the buttplate edge. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very good with small dent on the sun shield, most of the original blue finish, some light brown patina, and clear optics.
