Description:

Manufactured in China at Factory #26, this Type 56 Carbine was brought back from Vietnam and includes bring back papers including the DD603 Registration of War Trophy form, and American Embassy Saigon Request for Firearms Export License. The papers are correctly numbered to the gun, dated November 27, 1968 and December 13, 1968 respectively and identify the United States Marine that captured the carbine as a sergeant of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, personal names and addresses have been blacked out. Features post front and tangent rear sights, standard factory "/26\" marking on left side of receiver, "/2\" marking on left side of stock, matching visible serial numbers throughout including the magazine cover, receiver cover, trigger guard, and left side of buttstock. Original folding spike bayonet and canvas web sling

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus original blue finish, some scattered light edge wear, surface scratches, and some small nicks and dings. The stock is fine with clear markings, some small bruises, and edge wear and spotting on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent. An exceptional documented example of a Vietnam War bring back Chinese Type 56 SKS carbine.
