Adopted in 1937 after the design was personally approved by the Fuhrer. This style of dagger was not available for retail purchase and was only available through the party itself. This fine Hitler Youth Leader's Dagger or Fuhrerdolch features a 9 1/2 inch double edged blade with a hexagonal cross section, deeply etched "BLUT UND EHRE!" (Blood and Honor) Hitler Youth slogan on the obverse side, and "RZM/M7/36" on the reverse. The RZM code identifies the manufacturer as E&F Horster of Solingen. With a slightly down swept cross guard with simple decorations on the sides, wood grip wrapped in silver wire, and matching silver plated pinned pommel with the Hitler Youth diamond on the end. Includes the correct leather wrapped sheath with silver plated fittings and suspension rings, and embossed Hitler Youth "eagle" on the throat.
