Manufactured in 1907, the first year production, with the three-line address/patent dates on the top of the barrel followed by the caliber marking in front of the rear sight, and the two-line nickel steel marking on the left near the breech. The barrel is fitted with a special order, ramped and dovetailed, red beaded blade hunting front sight, elevation adjustable notch rear sight, and a special order tang mounted Lyman peep sight. Mounted with a finely figured, "H" pattern checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with special order 3 1/2 inch drop at heel, a hard rubber grip cap, and checkered hard rubber buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration including all the special order features as well as "hand made stock" (truly unique!), receipt at the warehouse on 21 August 1907, and shipment on 10 September 1907. Includes a letter of authenticity signed by Tom Selleck confirming it is from his personal collection.

Fine, retains 70% original blue finish with the balance thinned to a smooth grey patina and some very light surface pitting on the left of the receiver. The wood is also fine with some minor dings and scattered scratches, well-defined checkering, and retaining much of the original varnish. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Tom Selleck Collection
