The receiver was manufactured in 1917. There are Winchester oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech and the barrel has the two-line address and caliber marking offset to the left. Fitted with pinned beaded blade front and folding ladder rear sights, replacement half magazine, and there is a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a shotgun buttplate. The butt of the stock and buttplate have assembly number "194".

Very fine, retains 95% plus refinished blue on the replacement barrel and 90% original blue on the receiver. The buttplate retains 75% original blue with the balance a smooth grey patina, with some minor scratches and dings scattered throughout. The bottom of the barrel has a filled screw hole for a full length magazine. The forearm and buttstock are both very fine with some scattered light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
