The receiver was manufactured in 1917. There are Winchester oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech and the barrel has the two-line address and caliber marking offset to the left. Fitted with pinned beaded blade front and folding ladder rear sights, replacement half magazine, and there is a saddle ring on the left of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a shotgun buttplate. The butt of the stock and buttplate have assembly number "194".
