Manufactured in 1915 and subsequently engraved with a profuse bold vine and leaf scroll motif on a stippled background featured on the receiver. The lever is signed "B" inside an ichthys. Dovetail Lyman blade front sight (replaced screw), elevation adjustable rear sight, British proofs, steel end cap and buttplate engraved to match, and standard Winchester markings including factory proofs.

Very good as custom embellished on the frame. The receiver and bolt have a smooth attractive gun metal appearance with some original blue finish around the trigger. There is some mild pitting on the buttplate. The remaining metal surfaces retain traces original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The replacement wood is also very good with a couple cracks on the forearm (underside) and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
