These revolvers were manufactured c. 1876-1880s in several variations. This is the later variant with a solid top strap, squared butt, and more traditional cylinder flutes. The top of the barrel has the Merwin, Hulbert & Co. markings, and the left side has the Hopkins & Allen markings. The frame has "CALIBRE/WINCHESTER" and "1873" on the left. The assembly number "25" is marked on the back of the barrel and cylinder and on the left side at the toe. The serial number is marked on the butt and has the first "0" stamped over a "1." The silver grips have chased floral scroll patterns. Includes a "154" marked collection inventory tag.
