Also known as the Improved Army or Frontier Army, the Model 1875 Revolver was manufactured from 1875 to 1889. This revolver has a blade front sight with a copper insert, the "E. REMINGTON & SONS" address on top of the barrel, "44" stamped on the left side of the frame at the breech, a "G" on the right side, and "764" on the left side of the grip frame, the loading gate, and the trigger guard. The right grip is carved with a golden eagle, snake, and cactus motif based on the Mexican coat of arms.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 75% original nickel on the frame and barrel assembly, some patches of light pitting, and general mild wear. The heavily polished cylinder is absent of plating. The somewhat undersized replacement grips are good with mild age cracks and moderate wear. Mechanically fine.
