U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Carbine

Manufactured in 1887 with an appropriate "SWP/1887" cartouche, "D/15" marked on top of the comb, and other standard markings and features. Some of these Model 1884 trapdoors were used in the last of the Indian War battles, Spanish-American War, and the Philippine-American War. Includes cleaning tools in the butt trap.

ConditionFine, retains 40% original blue finish and traces of original case colors with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina and a few patches of very light pitting. The wood is also fine with minor dings and scratches scattered throughout and crisp cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
