Attractive Relief Carved Double Boar's Head Cane

The prominent T-shaped handle of this cane features mirrored wild boar's heads separated by oak leaf clusters, creating a very Germanic look. The hardwood shaft is coated in a tan/brown enamel and there is a horn ferrule at the tip to protect from deformation. The overall length is 36 inches. It certainly has the look of a cane regularly carried by an 18th or 19th century Germanic gentleman.

ConditionVery fine overall, with some slight discoloration on the grip, crisp carving, some mild crazing of the enamel on the shaft, and generally an attractive aged look. A perfect accessory for your morning strolls around your country estate!
