Blued steel barrels marked "JOSEPH LANG & SONS." and "22 COCKSPUR STREET, PALL MALL. LONDON." on the left and right barrel, respectively, with 3 leaf rear sight with platinum center line and the two farthest sights marked for 150 and 200 yds, and single inset front blade sight, and matted rib with engraved extension. The second set of shotgun barrels are numbered to the gun and have the same barrel address marking and a matted rib with a single silver bead. The casehardened "LANG'S PATENT" marked rotary underlever action, which returns the underlever when closed, has carved percussion fences, stylized hammers with blued safety catches, and back action side locks marked "JOSEPH LANG & SONS". Blued extended trigger guard engraved with the serial number. The action and other steel parts are scroll engraved throughout with floral screwheads. The nicely figured walnut stock has an engraved steel grip cap, blank silver initial oval and an engraved and stippled steel butt plate, with an engraved lever release checkered forend.

Very good with 98% of the refinished blue remaining on both sets of barrels with some scattered pitting and clear markings. The action retains traces of the original case hardened colors, predominantly in the protected areas, with the remaining areas turning to a bright silver patina, with crisp engraving and a few areas of spotting. The guard retains 20% of the original blue finish. The refinished wood is fine with sharp checkering and scattered handling marks and a crack on the top of the comb near the heel.
