The Model 98 type action is marked with the serial number on the left side and has punch dot matting on top of the ring, and around the clip slot, turned down bolt handle, standard safety, and hinged floorplate. Visible serial numbers are matching including the engraved serial number on the trigger guard. Multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with blue steel grip cap with trapdoor, raised cheekpiece, blank initial oval, and leather wrapped recoil pad.

Very fine as professionally restored with 97% plus refinished blue remaining, some visible light pitting under the finish, slightly softened markings, and a few light cycling marks. The stock is also very fine with mostly crisp checkering, some scattered small dings and bruises, and a short hairline crack visible just behind the upper tang. Mechanically excellent.
