Description:

This desirable shotgun is in the standard World War I trench gun configuration. Page 50 of Bruce Canfield's "Complete Guide to the United States Military Combat Shotguns" lists a serial range of E613000-E705000, of which this example, E669108, falls well within. A single brass bead sight is installed on the correct blued bayonet lug, with a one-line "PAT.APPL.FOR" marking and a 6-hole ventilated heat shield, cylinder choke, 2 3/4 inch chamber and the model and trademark on the operating rod. "US/ordnance bomb" is marked on the right of the receiver. Fitted with a ribbed forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock and a checkered Winchester buttplate, and a length of pull of 13 3/4 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 40% plus original blue finish with the balance a mixture of brown an grey patina. The wood is also fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
