Manufactured in January of 1942 and subsequently upgraded to M1D Sniper configuration. Blade front and peep rear sights, with "DRC" windage drum "NI-C" elevation drum, and a Springfield "S-A-1-52" barrel with integral scope base. Internal components include a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety and relief cut operating rod, with a Toole Arsenal "TE/6-69" rework mark on the right receiver leg. The hardwood stock is "P" marked, with a green nylon sling, brown leather "MRT/3-69" cheekpiece (screws installed) and a checkered steel buttplate. An M84 scope, serial number "8527", is installed.
