Manufactured in 1882 with the desirable black powder frame. Standard one-line address on top of the barrel, desirable etched panel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left of the barrel, and three-line patent dates on the left of the frame. Matching serial numbers are visible on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and assembly number "500" on the loading gate.

Fine, retains 40% original high polish blue finish and 30% of the original case colors primarily in sheltered areas with the balance a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of very light surface pitting. The grips are also fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches and a small chip absent from the back edge of the right panel. Mechanically functions but is slightly out of time.
