Manufactured after the Civil War. The revolver features a wonderful period New York engraving. Masterful scrollwork on a punch dot background along with scalloped and wavy line borders featured on the barrel sides, frame, and cylinder. A cross hatching motif is engraved on the hammer thumb piece, a star burst is engraved behind the hammer, and a geometric line and dot motif is engraved on the back strap. The underside of the barrel at the muzzle is signed with the letter "D". The hammer, cylinder and ejector rod are plated in gold, and the remaining surfaces are plated in silver. Matching assembly marks are on the grip frame, cylinder, and barrel. Comes with a period partitioned case, cleaning rod and empty Smith, Hall & Farmer No. 2 revolver cartridges (green label).
