A) J. Lang Side by Side Pistol

Manufactured circa 1840-1852. Signed "J. LANG 7 HAYMARKET LONDON" on the concave ribs which have post front sights, border engraving at the muzzles, notch rear sights on top at the breech, dense scroll engraving, London proof and view marks, cap compartments in the pommels, swivel mounted ramrods, and finely checkered stocks with vacant silver wrist escutcheons. The case contains cap tins, oilers, balls, "24" marked ball mold, nipple wrench, screwdriver, and tow.

ConditionVery fine with 85% plus original case colors and 70% original blue finish remaining, spots of slight oxidation, and generally only light age and storage related wear. The grip is also very fine and has crisp checkering and minimal handling wear. Mechanically excellent. The case and accessories are very good with mild wear.

ConditionVery fine with 90% plus original case colors and 70% original blue finish remaining, minimal light handling and storage wear, and some small spots of minor oxidation. The grip is also very fine and has crisp checkering and minimal handling wear. Mechanically excellent. The case and accessories are very good with mild wear. This is a very fine pair of pistols. Most of the very minor wear present appears to be from age rather than use. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection.
