Built off of a Mauser style action by the Birmingham based firm J&L Wilkins & Co. Barrel engraved "J.&L. Wilkins & Co. Birmingham. England." ahead of the rear sight. The rifle features four position one standing, three folding express rear sights graduated from 100 to 400 yards and a matted front sight ramp with beaded blade. The vibrant casehardened action, bolt, trigger guard, and magazine display areas of light scrollwork and engraved borders, and gold inlaid markings of "Cal/416 Rigby" on the front action ring and the serial number on the trigger guard, as well as nitre blue floral engraved screw heads and stock reinforcing bolts. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with ebony forend cap, casehardened grip cap, and fine checkering.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and 97% casehardened finish, some light oxidation on the grip cap, and sharp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent.
