Description:

"Tatham & Egg" signed lock with scroll and border engraving, blade and three-leaf sights, cat head engraved on the breech, some martial and floral engraving on the tangs, and silver wrist and wedge escutcheons, checkered wrist, and cheekpiece on the walnut half-stock.

Rating Definition:

Good with mostly gray patina throughout, twist patterns visible along the barrel, replaced rear sights, one detached ramrod pipe, repaired hammer with some case colors, aged patina on the silver, 75% plus reblued finish on the ramrod entry pipe and trigger guard along with moderate oxidation/pitting, replaced horn forend cap, some repairs in the stock, dent in the right side of the wrist, and minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine. Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection.
