This fine matched and consecutively numbered set have fixed blade front and notch rear sights, 60 degree decocking safety, serrated ring hammer and checkered thumbrest grips. The slides are engraved with bold thistle patterns on shaded backgrounds with "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT" (No one provokes me with impunity) in banners on the right side, and the grips are carved with the crest of the Scottish Order of the Thistle. The motto is that of the Scottish Royal Stuart adopted at least as early as the reign of King James VI. The motto was also adopted by the aforementioned Order of the Thistle, and three Scottish regiments of the British army. Includes original case.
