Description:

This is an excellent example of a WWII U.S. Army contract Stevens Model 520-30 shotgun in a trench gun configuration with the correct bayonet lug adaptor and ventilated handguard. The right side of the barrel has the three-line address along with "P/Ordnance Bomb" at the breech. The left side also has the two-line gauge markings of: "PROOF TESTED-12 GAUGE/-2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER-". Choke gauges at cylinder. The left side of the receiver is stamped "MOD. 520-30", and it has the correct "P" proof on the barrel and front edge of the receiver. The lower left side also has the correct "P/Ordnance Bomb" proof. It has an all blue finish with smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic buttplate. The stock and bayonet lug are correctly fitted with sling swivels. The bayonet lug is the correct Stevens pink color due to its alloy metal construction but it is missing the correct "S" marking. The barrel extension and stock are also correctly serialized with the receiver.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% plus of the original blue finish. Some small areas of light edge and high point wear and a light cycling mark on the action bar. The edges of the frame and markings are sharp and crisp. A small wood filler touchup is present on the left side of the buttstock, otherwise the wood is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
