Manufactured between 1929 and 1932, a unique venture for the Marlin Company, this lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1893 action with a longer loading port, modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell with improved cylinder choke. Unmarked barrel with a single bead front sight and "Marlin/410" marked on the upper tang. Mounted with a smooth finger groove forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Marlin buttplate. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Excellent, retains 90% plus original blue finish and strong traces of the original case colors on the lever with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light surface oxidation on the left side of the frame. The wood is very fine with some scattered light dings, scratches, and chips on the buttplate toe. Mechanically excellent.
