Manufactured in 1905 with standard markings. Fitted with pinned blade front and three-leaf notch rear sights. The factory letter lists this carbine with a rare factory 12 inch barrel in .38 caliber when it was received in the warehouse and shipped on April 3, 1905. The letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms lists this carbine as being removed from the purview of the National Firearms Act and classified as a curio and relic. It has been estimated that about five Model 1892s with 12 inch barrels exist; five 12 inch barreled 1892s, including this one, are listed by the BATF as being "cleared." Out of the five listed by the BATF, two are chambered in .38 WCF. Includes a pair of beaver skin mittens and a trapper's game pack/board.
