The left side has a military panoply with lion and eagle. The left side of the frame is engraved with a deer and the right with a dog. The pistol is loaded with two charges. The right hammer fires the front charge and the left hammer fires the rear. Lindsay's patent covered the trigger mechanism that controlled this sequence.
