Manufactured in 1882 with the standard one-line address on top of the barrel, "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" in an acid etched panel on the left, three-line patent dates on the left of the frame, and "44.C.F." on the left of the trigger guard bow. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, with partial serial number "8979" on the cylinder, and assembly number "3743" on the loading gate. Fitted with a one piece walnut grip.
